Thrash bands, punk and other bands I like

I do not like thrash (death metal) that glorifies satan or ritual killings, or satanism.  I like bands like Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and bands like them.  I also like bands that joke about, or simply make fun of satan or satanism.

Punk is not junk.  bands that are violent towards the governement were playing during a time when the government and police were violent and oppressive to poor people.  I like Rancid, Aus Rotten, NoFx, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the Vandals, and band like them.  About "Anarchy Burger" from the Vandals, they just joke around.

What punk rockers joke about

They joke about the government.  THey probably thought it was hillarious when Axel Foley put a banana in the tailpipe of a detective's car.  They also like to see movies where the cops look stupid.  They also joke about anarchy, and even cops getting their asses kicked.

About heavy metal and punk

We as heavy metalers can understand punk and punk rockers can do the same with heavy metal.  We do not have to combine our styles, but we can include each other and heavy metal stations can play punk that is hardcore, as well as political punk on their stations, and punk stations can play heavy metal.  Even grunge makes you feel for and care about each other.  I like both punk and metal.  Why not?

About Heavy metal and Punk

Heavy metal and punk are part of our culture.  The fundies have no right to scream bloody murder and round up the PMRC or sing that tired old Pillar song, frontline every time we have a punk show or a Monsters of Rock in a Colloseum.  I havent heard of a Monsters of Rock concert in years.  The music is so bland and Clear Channel even gobbbled up Air America like a parisitic Pac-man.
