Jesus and freedom

Jesus, for many people of all faiths including Wicca (that follows the Wiccan Rede), died for freedom.  Too many people died for freedom, inlcuding the Christians that were persecuted in Rome, the many that were accused of witchcraft in the middle ages and burned at the stake, the ones who fought and died in the American Revolution and the many who died in both world wars.

Religious Freedom

I feel the Christian church is too powerful in influencing politics.  Other religions need to be given an equal voice.  There are so many minority religions in this country, such as Muslims, Jews and Wiccans, not to mention Buddhists, Native American shamanism and Asatru.  We need balance in our country.  The religious freedom is what makes this country such a great nation - not our military might.
