During the Roman empire, the Christians were persecuted by Jews and Romans alike. When Wicca came about in 1951 with Gardner getting it going, Wiccans soon found themselves losing their jobs and children. Recently, a preeacher burned a Koran just to insult Islam. It appears that when a new religion comes about, the more established religion persecutes it. Is this human nature? Are'nt people sick of holy wars? It is like the 6th graders taking a first grader's lunch money or the seniors in high school throwing the freshmen head-first in the trash can. Just a thought.
